Voxel sandbox with automation factory building.

Mine and build in a Minecraft-like world, then automate it: miners, belts, smelters and power lines. Climb a long tech tree from stone tools to steam, electronics, trains, oil and nuclear power. Peaceful and open-ended, with limited optional co-op for 2 to 4 players.

Controls: W A S D to move, Space to jump, hold left mouse to break blocks, E for inventory and crafting. Desktop browser with keyboard and mouse.

Free, always. OpenCraft is open source (https://github.com/Sidem/OpenCraft) and under active development, with new features landing regularly. Built with AI coding agents.

played for a little bit, don't mind the early game, optimisation means it's a bit shit to play, but tbc, not bad in terms of a game.

Small note: so there's nothing to automate mining trees.
I just entered the red/green zone, and immediately didn't like that I can't automate those aspects. Second to that, can't find much else there tbh. Get it's open source and all, but just my thoughts 06/11/2026

Hi!

I'm aware that nothing automates mining trees, it's intentional and resource needs are tweaked accordingly. You can craft axes to cut them down faster but you won't need a lot of wood in the near term. Practically everything else can be automated with miners, quarries, constructors, assemblers and later other machines.

I appreciate your feedback a lot, since it tells me where new players get likely stuck. I will adjust the tips and intro.

For now I'd suggest you craft a "Scanner", it will tell you where to find larger ore deposits (outcrops < veins < lodes). So you can research better tech.

Thanks again.

PS: one last tip, later in the game you can automate sand production by using crushers to crush steel production slag into sand.

Hi hi, I'm aware of all the features. New player experience does feel alright to me, just wanted to clarify if that was or wasn't intentional. Either way,  barring lack of content, the progression does feel a bit lacking imo.

Like, this isn't a matter of tips I think. Design wise; it took twenty, thirty minutes for me to realise what "you breaking a block means you only get part of the resources from it."

which, I get, but it tells me "don't mine more than you need at the start" and imo, I wouldn't just tell the player that. Because, to me, an autistic person (like diagnosed), I read that statement and went. "... well ok." and then had that early factory experience where you're struggling to start up the factory.

And then I spent quite a bit of time doing bad habits, getting more resources using the drill, sure, but it didn't click that's the tip meant, until the sixth time I'm destroying this drill/generator and stuff. And then i realise; aforementioned.
Hope that makes sense and me going in circles appears more on purpose :D
Second thing tho; tool tips. It's very good what's there, no notes.

Third thing, lag. Website is laggy, ingame is laggy, as always, gonna need  optimisations :P

meow. have a nice day :D

Hi!
Sounds to me like you had some learning experience, either way the world is practically infinite and there are always more ore deposits to discover. I had a couple of fresh starts which made it more satisfying to play with more experience.

regarding the lagginess, it doesnt lag for me, i will add some diagnostic functionality so maybe we can fix it. it might be that hardware acceleration isnt enabled or a browser i havent tested on.

btw im also on the spectrum, i think being obsessed with these particular niches shows that :D

Thanks for the feedback and have a nice day too!
